Hello everyone! If you've been following the development of our update to the game, called FIST: Ultra Edition, then you've probably noticed the scattered and disorganized manner that new snippets of the book have been uploaded. For the new year, steps have been taken to rectify this: you can now download a FIST Classic .zip file which contains the entire current incarnation of the game (available in various revised forms since 2020), and a FIST Ultra Pre-Pre Alpha .zip file which is, quite literally, everything there is so far.

Speaking informally, I thought it'd be fun to give everyone a window into exactly where the game is at as of January 1st, 2023, so I hit "export" and dropped the .pdf here. Instead of multiple disjointed files, Ultra Edition development updates will simply replace this single Ultra .pdf, until someday there'll just be two complete rulesets available right here for download: the well-worn old one, and the jumbo-sized, shiny new one! Ultra Edition aims to be entirely backwards-compatible with all FIST content released so far, so it'll really be a choice of which flavor you prefer (in fact, I thought about calling it Advanced FIST). 

Hopefully, you'll find this half-finished skeleton of Ultra Edition is already playable (if unbalanced, lopsided, and riddled with holes) and you'll be able to enjoy some of the new traits, optional rules, and content generation tables. Stay tuned for more Ultra development (illustrations! More traits and roles! Tons of tables and referee advice!), and know that any and all feedback is immensely appreciated.
