SECOND REVISION and COMMUNITY COPIES

Hey folks! Some small fixes and updates to the game have been added, with credit to each person who suggested them. Thanks everyone! Community copies have also been refreshed, so if you can't afford the game, please feel free to grab one!

  • HP gain has been clarified. You can gain +1D6 MAX HP when levelling up. (Trellowave)
  • Traits are now numbered for rolling up random mercenaries. (rick073)
  • Drug-based traits give you +2 MAX HP. They did something broken to the War Dice mechanics before - now they just give you a little boost.
  • War Dice have been clarified. Sorry this was such a mess! War Dice represent grit, spirit, or luck. You can spend a War Die to add +1D6 to any roll - yours, someone else's, damage rolls, etc. Once you spend them, you don't get them back, but you can choose to gain +1D6 War Dice when you level up! (Cezar Capacle, ThunkThunkThunk)
  • Enemy template section has been clarified. CYCLOPS has been placed under a different header - they are a special enemy group included as an option for ongoing campaigns. (Cezar Capacle)
  • New Character Sheet! (Daniel M.)
  • Spreads! (Cezar Capacle)

Looks like you forgot to put the explanation on what War Dice actually do in the PDF itself.

hey there! all changes in this post are reflected in the PDF. here they are highlighted for convenience - they're small changes/tweaks so they're easy to miss in a big block of text! these are the entirety of the War Dice rules: just a consumable pool of extra dice to use as a bonus whenever.

additionally, Fiend, Lush, Smoker, Stoner, add Tripper no longer affect War Dice, instead granting +2 Max HP.

Ha, I missed it. I was focusing on the “rolling the dice” section and didn’t see it in the “making mercs” part. Thanks for pointing it out!

makes sense, I put it in an odd place (I think this mechanic is just cosmically cursed)
